Closing Day
Moving In
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations are almost in order—but there are still a few final steps to ensure everything goes smoothly. Don’t worry, I, Brad Reynolds, will be right there to guide you through this last stage of the journey.
Final Walk-Through Inspection.
This is more of a formality, but an important one. The final inspection typically happens the day before or the day of closing. Together, we’ll visit the property to confirm everything is in working order, verify that no extra items were left behind, and ensure all agreed-upon items are still in place. It’s your chance to make sure everything is exactly as it should be.
Home Services and Utilities.
After closing, you’ll need to activate your home services and utilities. I’ll provide you with a handy list of useful numbers to make this transition as smooth as possible.
Be Prepared.
Sometimes, unexpected issues can pop up at the very last minute. Whether it’s a minor repair or some other unforeseen detail, I’ve seen it all and know how to handle these situations quickly and stress-free. You can count on me to keep things moving forward with ease.
Closing.
Closing day is when it all becomes official. The closing agent will provide a settlement statement detailing the financial transactions. You, the seller, and the closing agent will sign this document to certify its accuracy. If you’re financing the purchase, you’ll also sign all required documentation for your lender.
Can’t attend closing in person? No problem—just let me know in advance, and we’ll work out alternative arrangements. If you’re bringing funds to the table, you can either wire them electronically to the escrow account or bring a certified bank check.
At closing, the seller will hand over the keys and any other important items. Once that’s done, the property is officially yours—congratulations!
